May 3, 2023 – The Andalusian Renewable Energy Association (CLANER) and the Association of Renewable Energy Maintenance Companies (AEMER) have jointly organised the session “The maintenance of renewable installations and the creation of a permanent local economic fabric”, with the aim of bringing together professionals from the sector and other interested agents to evaluate the approach to future consolidation with quality and professionalism.

The working breakfast will take place on Tuesday 16 May, from 10.30 am to 1.00 pm, at the headquarters of the Andalusian Confederation of Employers (CEA), which is actively collaborating in the event, at its headquarters in Seville.

Firstly, the current situation of the renewable energy sector will be addressed, with an analysis of the current state of affairs and forecasts for future growth, in a scenario marked by more flexible plant operation, given the growth in renewable supply, and extending the useful life of the plants. Asset management and maintenance become key elements once the plants come into operation, with local employment being key in many cases, with a workload of several years.

The session will address the main challenges facing the sector, both on the side of producers and maintenance companies, to ensure maximum availability of their plants throughout their lifetime. This analysis seeks a global approach taking into account different perspectives: the number of operational and upcoming plants, the repair and demand for components, logistics and storage, as well as the state of employability and the skills required in the various subsectors.

The conference will be attended by the Secretary General for Energy of the Andalusian Regional Government, Manuel Larrasa, the President of CLANER, Alfonso Vargas, the President of AEMER, Iñigo Vázquez, the Secretary General of AEMER, Alberto Ceña, and a representative of the CEA.

Finally, the debate will focus on the local level, and on developing proposals and solutions to maximise job creation and local returns, as well as the need to work together companies and a sectoral association such as CLANER.

The breakfast will be repeated in different autonomous communities with the aim of getting closer to the reality of the territory and facilitating the flow of information and concrete experiences. Those interested can register through the link https://bit.ly/aemer-sevilla
