  • During the Energy and Energy Transition Trade Fair “Energy Global Expo & Congressue” held in Valencia.

16 November 2023 – The secretary general of the Andalusian Renewable Energy Association (CLANER), Gemma García-Pelayo, highlighted the role of the clusters in the energy transition and in their work with regional administrations, to which she calls for the streamlining of administrative procedures as a way to advance the industrialisation of the country, in addition to promoting innovation in the renewable energy sector.

The CLANER representative made these statements in the framework of the Energy and Energy Transition Fair “Energy Global Expo & Congressue” which is being held these days in Valencia, with the participation of the main official and business organisations, both national and foreign, operating in the sector.

García-Pelayo took part in a round table discussion on the role of energy clusters as innovation hubs, together with representatives of the renewable energy clusters of Castilla y León, Valencia, the Balearic Islands and Extremadura.

The main measures proposed by CLANER to speed up projects focus on the simplification of procedures, the establishment of reduced deadlines and the digitalisation of procedures, among others.

Finally, he indicated that “from the territorial point of view, the existing social concern requires a joint reflection and greater information work on the local benefits of renewable projects and their ability to coexist with traditional uses of rural land”.
